Plugging & Abandonment · Texas

Plugged right.
Left clean.

Terra plugs and abandons wells across Texas. The company is new. The people running it have been doing this work for twenty years and more.

The one that has been sitting

We take the wells other contractors turn down.

Old completions. Records that do not match the hole. Fish, collapsed casing, pressure the file said would not be there.

Most plugging outfits want an easy well and a clean file. The wells that actually cost operators money are the other ones — the ones that have been carried on the books for years because nobody wants to bid them. Those are the ones worth calling us about.

What we do

Four things, done properly.

Plugging & Abandonment

Plugged to Statewide Rule 14 and the approved procedure for the well — bottom-hole through surface plug, tagged where the rule calls for it.

Difficult Wells

Old completions, incomplete records, fish in the hole, collapsed casing, pressure that is not in the file. The wells that get passed over.

Casing & Tubing Recovery

Recovery run as part of the plugging program, isolated below each cut, with recovered footage reconciled and reported back to you.

Site Restoration

Cut off below grade, marker set, location cleaned up and left the way the surface owner ought to find it.

How we work

Straight terms, in writing, before anybody moves.

  • You stay operator of record. Terra works under your Commission authority. We do not take Form P-4s and we are not after your wells — we plug them and get off your location.
  • We do not leave you holding the paperwork. The job closes out on the Commission plugging record, prepared and signed. You get the records you need for your filings.
  • Scoped before anyone mobilises. Every job runs on a signed Work Order stating the wells, the scope, the price basis and the schedule. No work starts without one.
  • Insured for plugging work. Coverage is in force and certificates are furnished on request, direct from our agency — before we mobilise, not after you ask twice.
  • Turnkey, day rate or unit rate. Priced the way the job ought to be priced. Tell us what you are looking at and we will tell you which one fits.

Tell us about the well.

Give us the county, the depth and what you know about the hole. We will tell you whether it is one we want.
